Holborough Hedgehogs use these micro-chips when we release our rehabilitated hedgehogs. Not only does it help us track if we get a hedgehog re-admitted, and therefore can refer back to previous medical notes, but we use it to collate data.
The chips are very easy to use and are a very reasonable price, especially when money is being spent out of our own pockets and through donations.
Another product I highly recommend is the Halo Scanner carry case – I’ve had many problems over the years with my Halo scanners breaking from getting damp or cold. This case helps to protect it and is easy to carry around to!
